We're a small independent bookshop in Lane Cove, on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

There's been an indie bookshop here for over 30 years - it was Moirs Bookshop for eons, and now The Bookery proudly carries on the tradition.

Karen Thompson and Beatle Wallace first met while both working for the Moirs. They shared a great love of books, a dark sense of humour and, as it turns out, an adventurous spirit! When the opportunity to continue the indie tradition came along - The Burns Bay Bookery was born.
